Personal Experience & Biography
Dr. Ursani is an experienced psychiatrist and entrepreneur on a mission to change the mental healthcare paradigm leveraging data science and technology with a focus on improving access to care, and delivering high quality measurement based care at scale.
Early in his career, Dr. Ursani’s passion for delivering care to underserved areas led him to develop and build a mental health clinic in rural Missouri. This also included creating a Telehealth platform to improve outreach and deliver 24/7 ED services for rural hospitals in the country through founding Revive Telehealth.
Dr. Ursani has also been involved as a clinical advisor and director of clinical quality for different mental health start ups working on various initiatives including developing treatment protocols and educational tools for providers, and measurement based care programs, with a special emphasis on serious mental illness and other high risk populations.
More recently, his career has led him to develop in person treatment centers for offering interventional psychiatry treatment offerings including TMS, Spravato, and Ketamine at Heading Health.
He has also been working on an AI guided decision aid for the treatment of depression and additionally currently serves as a clinical advisor for other early stage start ups.
His passion for entrepreneurship and business has led him to pursuit an executive MBA at UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business.
